Coach Selam Zereaye and his Ethiopia team did not show up in their press conference, scheduled for Monday 2:00 pm, a day before the reverse fixture against Cameroon in the Women’s Olympic qualifiers.
The presser was to be held immediately after that of the indomitable Lionesses, but, journalists waited in vain and the only information gotten – was that, the Ethiopians were tired having arrived 24 hours back.
Reports on ground suggests that even in the away leg – team Ethiopia provided little or no information about their team, strongly understood to be part of their strategy before the game.
The “Lucy” as they are locally called, have never made the summer Olympic games as their best aborted attempt came in 2012 when they went through DR Congo, Ghana, before losing to SA in the final round.
Ethiopia are on course of equaling their best run if they can get a favourable result against the Lionesses on their home patch come Tuesday.
Team Ethiopia arrived the Ahmadou Stadium in Yaounde at 3:30 PM for a recognizance session ahead of Tuesday’s game.
