Coach Kadiamba Marcelo on Wednesday’s press conference told reporters that his team depends more on the hard work of 10 outfield players rather than natural talent to eliminate Cameroon.
Thursday’s clash between DR Congo and Cameroon would be Congo’s second in the 2020 Olympic qualifier they eliminated Tanzania 3-2 in the first round and her triumph on suspended Equatorial Guinea courtesy of a FIFA ban on the multi-women’s AFCON champions.
Coach Kadiamba Marcelo expressed administration for the talented group of players on the books of the Lionesses, but fancies his chances with his team working as a unit.
“We have a difficult task ahead of us”, coach Kadiamba adhered before going on: “we have unity and solidarity. It is all for one and one for all.”
The gaffer is lurking around the history books; looking for Congo’s first victory over Cameroon in Women’s football. If he should pull off a miracle on the home patch of the Lionesses on Thursday, coach Kadiamba would have done one quarter of his job, ahead of the reversed fixture in Kinshasa.
