The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon will face the toughest opponent on paper since the start of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifiers campaign next month.

The girls of coach Alain Djeumfa will clash with Ivory Coast twice in the fourth round of the current qualifiers campaign with the winner on aggregate to book a ticket to the final.

As the build up to both games continues, has gathered from its sources that the first leg game in Ivory Coast will be played on November 9th and the return game in Yaounde 3 days later.

The fixtures will therefore appear as such:

Ivory Coast vs Cameroon (9th November 2019)

Cameroon Vs Ivory Coast (12th November 2019)

It will be the first meeting between the two sides since November 2018 when Cameroon played a 1-all draw against Ivory Coast in a pre-AFCON game played in Ivory Coast.

The Lions squad will be published in the hours ahead and we understand FK Minsk defender Alvine Njolle has finally been contacted to join the team.

Coach Alain Djeumfa’s team has struggled to give more than just results to Cameroonians while the Ivorians are fresh from eliminating Nigeria from the race to Tokyo.
