14 of the 19 Indomitable Lionesses expected in camp for Cameroon’s first Tokyo 2020 Olympics qualifier game away to Ethiopia have practiced for the first time on Sunday at the Bahir Dar International Annex Stadium.
The 14 Lionesses all based in Cameroon with the exception of Portuguese based and SC Braga forward Farida Machia Machia had their first working session with coach Alain Djeumfa on Sunday evening after arriving Bahir Dar at 9:30 AM.
Four of the players not yet in camp(Michaela Abam,Leuko Chibosso, Feudjio Raissa and Aboudi Onguene) are based in Europe and still on duty with their clubs. US based and Sky Blue FC defender Estelle Johnson is amonsgt those expected in Camp.
kick442.com understands newly acquired Real Betis forward Michaela Abam is expected to arrive camp this Monday while the rest of the squad members jet in within the week.
Preparation sessions continue this Monday with plans to challenge Ethiopia on the 26th of August in Bahirdar before heading home for a return game on the 1st of September 2019.
Cameroon is keen on making it to their second Olympic games in the discipline while Ethiopia is out in search of a their first qualification ticket with just 3 spots reserved for Africa.
