AS Fortuna’s young defender Ricky Ngatchou Kamtchouang has shown Africa glimpses of his potential in the just ended 2019 Total Under 17 AFCON tournament in Tanzania.

From the country of Wome Nlend,Timothe Atouba, Pierre Doumbe,Benoit Assou Ekotto,all fine left backs at their picks,Ricky Ngatchou is already showing his desire to emulate the success of these greats in the years to come.

Amongst just 3 Cameroon players that played every minute of matches in the just ended AFCON,the defender showed his attacking and defensive strength consistently from the start till the end of the tournament earning him a place in the team of the tournament.

Born the 5th January 2002,the defender has nailed his place as a regular in the Cameroon team and may be one of the players to watch in the Upcoming Under 17 World Cup tournament in France.

AS Fortuna a league one side in Cameroon’s domestic championship is still to give the defender a regular run in their first team but the progress the young man is displaying is only a prove that he will get that chance over time.
