Newly-promoted Cameroon top-flight side Fauve Azur Elite have completed the acquisition of 29-year old Intermediate Lions of Cameroon midfielder Richard Yannick Ebongue on a one-year deal.
Ebongue joined the Center Region outfit as a free agent having left Cotonsport after winning the 2020/2021 Cameroon League title with the Cotonites where he made 23 appearances and scored twice plus provided four assists last season.
The former Feucheu FC, YOSA of Bamenda midfielder who also plays as a center-back adds lots of experience to the current team Fauve Azur team.
Ebongue will certainly be one of the leaders in the dressing when the new season gets underway next month.
The player has been training and has played a number of pre-season games for the men from the capital.
At International level, Ebongue has represented Cameroon’s Intermediate and Olympic Lions team and last year he came very close to making Cameroon’s squad for the 2020 African Nations Championship.
