In Serie B, Adamo Gregucci the coach of Salernitana left Cameroon forward Joseph Minala on the bench against Crotone. It proved to be a costly decision as they were beaten 0-2 at home.

Einstracht Frankfurt secured an emphatic 0-3 win away at Fortuna Düsseldorf, the win takes them to fifth, 3points away from the fourth position. As always 19 years old Cameroon defender Evans Ndicka had an eye catching performance in Frankfurt’s back three.
Pierre Kunde Malong has lost his starting place at Mainz 05, he was only summoned by Sandro Schwarz at the 85th minute to replace Danny Latza at the 85th minute in the 0-1 loss at home to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Cameroon striker Stephane Bahoken is having the season of his life in the French top flight. He benefited from substitute Angelo Fulgini’s assist to a earn a 90th minute equalizer for Anger who drew 2-2 away to Montpellier. It was the strikers 9th goal of the season. His compatriot Ambrose Oyongo Bitolo was present in the entire game for Montpellier as a left winger.
Rennes carries their fine form from the Europa League into the French Liga 1. After making history to become the first French club to beat Arsenal in France in a European club competition, Julien Stephan’s team saw off Caen on a similar 3-1 score. Cameroon forward James Edward Lea Siliki joint the party for Rennes at the 73rd minute. His compatriot Malik Tchokounte had a quiet night for Caen and was pulled off at the 75th minute.
The arrival of Italo-Ghanaian striker Mario Balotteli has given Marseille a new dimension. Rudi Garcia’s men beat Nice 1-0 at the Stade Velodrome. Their Cameroon winger Clinton Njie settled for place on the bench all night. Patrick Vieirra is trying to manage Cameroon midfielder Adrien Tamaze who has given a lot already this season. Alexandre Song and Freddy Mveng watched from the bench as FC Sion were humbled 3-1 by Neuchatell Xamas. Coach Murat Yakin ignored his pair of Cameroonian midfielders.
Akis Mantzios the coach of Panionios seem to have ran out of ideas, as his side lost 5-0 to Panetolikos. Cameroon’s Olivier Boumal started and finished the game, while his compatriot defender Yaya Banana was dropped to the bench and only called upon at the 52nd minute to replace Dimitrios Stavrapoulos. It was a difficult game for Cameroon’s Jean Olivier Simo Kingue who did not only see yellow at the 77th but his side Pribram also lost 2-0 to Mlada Boleslav.
Despite being sent of at the 71st minute through a straight red card, Niba MacDonald’s Nitra battled to 0-0 at the Stadion pod Zoborom in front of 912 spectators.
Zlate Moravce lost at home 1-2 against Dac 1904 Dunajska Streda. Their 29 years old former Cotonsport of Garoua defender Noe Achille Kwin Amban saw yellow at the 88th minute of the game. The Cameroon defender who won the league in Cameroon in 2011 played the entire game.
The Russian Premier League was in Day 19 over the weekend. 23 years old Cameroon midfielder Gael Ondoa and Anzhi Makatchkala were beaten 0-2 by visiting FC Lokomotiv Moscow despite the fact that Ondoa played for 83 minutes.

Christian Bassogog opened the scoring at the 25th minute in his side Henan Jianye’s 2-2 draw away at Shandong Luneng.
In the American MLS, Cameroon’s Jeremy Ebobisse Ebolo got a 29th minute equalizer for Portland Timbers against Los Anegeles FC, but his goal turned out to be a mere consolation as the home side rallied and score three more to carry the day 4-1.
CAF Champions League
In the CAF Champions League, Cameroon’s Franck Kim made it 2-0 at the 83rd minute for defending champions Esperance of Tunis at Horoya FC from Guinea Conakry. The Tunisians have now booked their place in the quarterfinals of the competition.
It looked to be mission impossible as Vita Club of the DRC, as they had to beat eight times African champions Al Ahly of Cairo to stay in the competition. That was made possible thanks to their multiple unbelievable safes produced by their 38 years old Cameroon goalkeeper Lukong Nelson Bongaman. Vita Club got a much needed 1-0 win to stay in contention for a place in the quarterfinals.
