Plateau United came from a goal down to get a one all draw at the new Jos Stadium on Wednesday in a rescheduled fixture of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The Jos side were on the back foot after Chika Godwin put the Pride of Rivers ahead on the 18th minutes.
A defensive blunder by Plateau put the Rivers Boys at advantage as Cletus Emotan’s assist is finished by Godwin.
The away side continued to maintain their lead in the first half. However, red card was shown to the goal scorer Chika for an off the ball incidence before the referee ends the half.
In the second half, it was Rivers United holding on to the one nil lead despite being a man down, but the home side finally had the opportunity to restore parity when Joseph Onoja handled the ball in an attempt to clear out of the box.
Ibrahim Mustapha scored the penalty in the 80th minutes to draw the game for Plateau United.
In Uyo, Dakkada International defeated Wikki Tourist two goals to one to get their 6th win of the season.
The Uyo side came from a Idris Guda’s thunderous hit from 20 yards in the twenty-six minutes of the match.
Some minutes the home side almosy equalised after Christian Ekong denied Philip archibong his goal as he touched the ball which was ruled for offside.
However, three minutes before half time, Austin Osayande equalized from the corner kick taken by Uwana Asuquo.
The home side completed their come back as Isaac George after 4 minutes of coming off the bench made instant impact as he fired home a pile-driver Christian Ekong from 20 yards.
It could have been three as goal keeper Alladoun of Wikki Tourist made a clean save to stop Christian Ekong strike in the 18 yard box.
The win took Dakkada International to 7th on the log after 13 matches.
At Ozoro, Delta State Jackson Eru superbly headed home Efe Yarhere’s sublime cross after a very good Wolves move to gave the hosts the lead in the 24th minutes.
Warri Wolves however put themselves in a precarious situation in the 43rd minutes after Efe Yarhere was shown his second yellow card of the game to reduce the away team to 10.
Enyimba, two minutes later equalled scores through a penalty converted by striker Victor Mbaoma.
The People’s Elephant couldn’t utilise their numerical advantage as the game ended one all.
