31-year-old Cameroon international Adolphe Teikeu is on the verge of signing for Stade Malherbe de Caen, as per multiple reports. No official information has been made yet by the club.
The 1.89m former Sochaux defender (2015-2018 and 2019-2020) has been without a club since leaving Turkish club BB Erzurumspor in July this year. The Cameroonian has been on trial at French second division club Nimes but according to reports, the club turned down the chance to sign him due to financial reasons.
Beginning his career with Canon of Yaounde in 20008, Adolphe Teikue went on to play for Mealurh Zaporizhya, Ohod Club, Krasnodar among others, all totalling more than 314 league appearances scoring 17 goals.
Adolphe Teikeu has made some 22 appearances for the Cameroon national team ever since he began playing for his country back in 2016. The high moment for him for his country came back in 2017 when he was part of the team that won the 2017 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
Since 2018 the central defender Adolphe Teikeu has been on the fringes of the national selection and if the reports turn out to be valid, he will be hoping for more game time in the Ligue after sitting on the bench most of the time for his last club.
