The second group games of 2020/2021 Remo Division One Football League Super 8 kicked off on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu, Ogun State.
Sagamu United recorded the first win in Group A to move to the top of the group after a 2-1 win over Ultimate FA.
A quick-fire brace from Olanrewaju Kunle in the 31st and 32nd minutes respectively gave Sagamu United a two-goal lead.
Dada Abiodun in the 56th minute pulled a goal back for Ultimate FA from the penalty spot but the goal couldn’t prevent Ultimate FA’s first defeat of the Super 8.
Earlier on, Olodi Warriors and Eso-E FC played out a goalless draw in a game marred by severed rainfall in the second half.
Sagamu United moved to the top of Group A with four points from two games ahead of Olodi Warriors (2 points), Eso-E FC (2 points), and Ultimate FA (1 point).
Action will move to Group B on Monday at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne where Remo Academy and The Cock FC trade tackles by 1 pm.
Remo Stars U-15 and Easy FC will square up in the second game by 3 pm.
