Uganda heavy giants, She Corporate FC shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Makerere University WFC in yesterday’s game that kick-started the Country’s Women’s top flight league.
A game played in a boggy atmosphere after a heavy downpour, one hour before the kick-off was one of the talking points to fans who came to witness the awaited football return.
She Corporate, took the lead at the stroke of halftime after new signing Spencer Nakacwa broke the deadlock.
In the second half, 5 minutes into the game, Daphine Nalubowa found an equalizer to level matters for the home side She Mak.
The tempers game changed as both sides strived to find a winner with around 40 minutes to end the game.
The sharks created a lot of chances but all went in vain, as we saw Phionah Nabbumba hit a post in the course of the game.
With 15 minutes to go, She Mak got a penalty that was saved by the sharks’ Custodian Fatuma Namatovu to deny the home side a lead in what we would be called a historical win.
The game went on like that until the final whistle as Reigning champions, She Corporate settled for a draw in their first game of the season with newcomers Makerere University WFC.
She Mak visit former Uganda Champions Lady Doves in their second game of the season while She Corporate host arch rivals Kampala Queens in an early derby of the season.
