The lack of a real commanding defender has forced Olympique Lyonnais to succumb to lack of European football next season.
This has obviously not gone done well with the club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas who appears to be yearning for a good defender in the the summer.
Le10Sport is reporting that Lyon officials have identified 25-year-old Algerian defender Amir Selmane Ramy Bensebaïni, on the books German Bundesliga side, Borussia Mönchengladbach as a transfer target in the upcoming transfer window.
The former Paradou AC center back is on contract at Borussia-Park till the summer of 2023.
The ex JMG Algiers man can cost close to €10 Million according to Transfermarkt.
The versatile defender can also play as a left back and a midfielder making him a good business for Lyon.
Ramy made 18 appearances in all competitions this season having joined on a four-year-deal from Stade Rennais last summer.
The goal scoring defender with four Bundesliga goals this campaign has netted thrice in 30 appearances for the Desert Foxes of Algeria.
