In an era where most Africans clubs are desperate to let their players move abroad at peanuta, and African players can switch to Europe for almost nothing, Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca have rejected a $77000 offer for Mahmoud Benhalib from French club Clermont Foot, according to reports.

Mahmoud Benhalib,23 on the books of Raja Casablanca

The 23-year old, Moroccan international was Raja’s lead scorer in the club’s run to being champion of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.

Mahmoud joined the club in the build up to the 2015/2016 and has scored 38 goals in 60 appearances in all competitions since then.

The lad is one of the hottest properties in the Morocco Botola Pro league.

As at May 2019, TransferMkt valued the right footed forward at 700000 Euros.

Reports from Morocco suggests, Raja has turned blind eyes on the offer. The club say Clermont’s offer is disrespectful to Raja and Mahmoud.

It is rare to see club’s from out of North Africa reject such an offer for a player.
