Cameroon’s number one sport’s man, His Excellency President Paul Biya via a tweet message has congratulated captain Vincent Aboubakar and mates following their brilliant qualification victory against the Desert Foxes of Algeria on Tuesday at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida.
The Cyclist lover has always reiterated his support to the Indomitable lions on several occasions. In 2017 , receiving the African Nations Cup trophy at the Unity Palace from the hands of the then captain Benjamin Moukanjo President Biya had this ;
“Vous les avez mis dans la sauce.” In another occasion he said “Un seul mot continué”.
By articulating a such, it shows the Head of State has always given a great attention to the performance of the Cameroon senior national football team.
President Paul has witnessed seven World Cups under his magisterium. Notably Spain 1982,Italy 1990,USA 1994,France 1998,Korea/Japan 2002,South Africa 2010,Brazil 2004 and this time around will witnessed the Prestigious Qatar 2022 World Cup.
In 1990 Cameroon reached the quarter-final stage before being defeated 3-2 by England. Roger Milla, at the age of 42, became the oldest player ever to appear in a World Cup finals at the 1994 FIFA World Cup, where he managed to score.
