30-year old Cameroonian international defensive midfielder, Franck Kom was instrumental in offering his Qatari top tier side Al Rayyan a win against Al Wakrah.
The prolific former Panthere Sportive of Nde defender via a match winning shot, offered his side a long-awaited goal at the 82th minutes of play against Al Wakrah to pick a 2-1 win, in the day 8 games of the ongoing Qatari league.
The former Esperance de Tunis and German Karlsrusher Midfielder had moved to the lead Qatari side of Al Rayyan SC for a 3,16 million euro in 2018.
Franck had his first call with the national selection in 2014 and participated in the qualification games for the 2015 African Cup of nations.
Adding to his rich club profile, is a huge experience on the international football scenery notably with the under-20 lions in the junior AFCON, held in South Africa, and world Cup held in Colombia in 2011.
Despite the lack of opportunities with the Lions, the former ES Sahel midfielder, is optimistic for a future call prior to the 33rd edition of the prestigious TotalEnergies African Cup of nations to be stage in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6th 2021.
