The Cameroonian delegation headed by Samuel Eto’o, President of the Cameroon Football Federation, arrived Oman on Wednesday June 6.The visit comes as part of the preparation of the Indomitable lions to set up a training camp in Sohar, ahead of the World Cup.
The team has submitted a request to set up it’s base in the Wilayat of Sohar, North Batinah Governorate from the period of November 10 to 19.
Oman led by the Ministry of Culture Sports and Youth is making all the arrangements to open its doors for the teams that have qualified for Qatar to hold camps in the sultanate.
Cameroon will be participating in the 22nd edition of the global high profile soccer bonanza for the eight time. Led by coach Rigobert Song, Cameroon has been drawn in Pool G, alongside ; Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland. While the Africans have never confronted the two European nations in the tournament before, they have played Brazil twice losing on both occasions in 1994 and 2014.
