The President of PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda, current cup of Cameroon holders, Pascal Abunde has disclosed that he has held a four hours crisis meeting with the entire staff of the team following the team’s recent run of poor results in the Cameroon elite one championship.
The crisis meeting came after the team was defeated by Fovu of Baham by three goals to one.
Addressing the fans of the team via his Twitter handle, Pascal Abunde announced that, some adjustments have been made to the team.
This is the first time in three years that PWD of Bamenda is suffering back-to-back defeats in the championship.
“Our club is currently having a bad run of games, first time back-to-back defeats in three years. I had a 4 hours crisis meeting with the entire staff yesterday night and hope the adjustments yield fruits. I fully understand fans’ frustrations and we are doing everything to have a quick fix”, the tweet from President Pascal Abunde reads.
From our findings, some players who left in Bamenda have been called to join the team in Limbe and these players may likely play on Saturday when PWD Bamenda takes on Avion Academy.
The team has had a poor run of results losing their first two games in the second phase of the championship. They were defeated 2#0 by Bamboutous of Mbouda and they also received a 3#1 spanking by Fovu.
In their last seven matches, the Abakwa Boys have recorded 1 win (against Dragon of Yaounde), three draws (UMS of Loum, Renaissance and Cotonsport) and three defeats (against Eding Sport, Bamboutos and Fovu).
