PWD social club of Bamenda will take on Apejes of Mfou on Sunday February 2, 2019, at the Yong sports Academy center in Mile Six Nkwen, Bamenda in their first game in the top flight, in over 15 years.

As parts of efforts to keep the “Abakwa boys” in a high spirit in their comeback in the league one championship, officials of “P -Ton Ton” have this week promised to dish out financial motivations to the players. First it was what the president Abunde Pascal described as “installation bonuses” for old players who qualified the team to the league one, and later on after one of their training sessions this Thursday January 30, 2019 at the Big Mankon school field. President Abunde Pascal and one of his vice, Charlie Boyo have promised the players special bonuses after every match.
A win against Apejes on Sunday will see each PWD player fetch 25000 FCFA per player.
A Match won will see each player going home with a bonus of 20 000 FCFA, while in case a draw away from home, the players will receive 12 000 FCFA as bonus , an amout which will be reduced by 50% in case of a home draw (5 000FCFA for a home draw). Other bonuses includes 15 000FCFA for defenders in case of a clean sheet, while each goal scored is 6 000 FCFA and the assist provider will receive 3 000 FCFA. This applies for match won only.
Since gaining their promotion back to the league one, the Abakwa boys have seen the likes of Michael Song Che and Ahudu Lukong leaving the squad for Eding Sports, and Chick Rex joining Tonnerre Kalara club. The Abakwa boys have however brought in the likes of experience striker Kongnyuy from cross town rivals, YOSA, young midfield prospect Nchindo John Bosco from Ebaidino Academy, and former Njalla Quan sports academy, AS Matelots and Cosmos of Bafia’s midfielder, Toni Achu. Former YOSA’s shot stopper, Nyokong was also brought in to add more competition to Julius Atengong and most recently they have also attach the services of Serge Manga from Colombe of the Dja and Lobo.
Coach Jean Baptiste Toguem is expected to publish his list of retained players this Friday February 1, 2019, just two days before their league’s opener against Apejes of Mfou.
