Champions of the Divisional leagues in Meme and Fako, PWD of Kumba and Isohsa respectively will join the rest of the best teams in the South West region in the contest for a place to represent the region at the 2019 National playoffs for promotion to the second tier of Camerooon football.This is part of “Resolution 1” adopted during South West, FECAFOOT’s executive bureau meeting that took place last Friday.
The meeting chaired by the league’s newly elected president,Ndive M.Thomas ended with 7 key resolutions amongst which includes; the number of competitions to be organized by the body,the kick off date of the regional Championship,the towns to host league matches amongst others.
Legendary PWD Kumba will therefore be a part of the contenders when the league begins on the 16th of February.
ISOHSA is making their first entrance to the primary competition in the region after seeing off competition from other young clubs in Fako last season.
The last 5 champions of the Region have failed to get the much awaited Elite two ticket for the region at the National playoffs.
In the meantime,Coaches, Referees and match commissioners or persons who intend to join any of the above mentioned fields in the region have been notified of their upcoming training courses through different releases signed by the Secretary General of FECAFOOT South West, Sylvester Esowe.
The League’s General Assembly which is one of most important pre-competition exercise.This season’s GA takes place on the 2nd of February before the league proper begins two weeks later in Limbe.
