Official of CAF Confederation Cup bound PWD of Bamenda are in talks to sign Cameroonian full-back Bawak Etta Thomas who recently left Sudanese side Al Merreikh.
The Cameroon international and his potential employers are in advanced negotiation and Bawak could be a PWD player before the end of the window.
Last season on Sudanese soils Bawak made 26 appearances and scored four goals for the club as they finished behind league winners Al Hilal Omdurman. Four of the games he played for Hilal were in the group staged of the CAF Champions League.
If all goes well, the arrival of Bawak could provide another option in the right back role alongside Api Eric Enjenwei or provide a personel in the left back role.
Bawak, a full Cameroon international made a name for himself while he played back in Cameroon and he will improve any club especially because of his experience.
The former UMS of Loum, Douala Athletic Club 2000 and New Stars of Douala full-back who operates comfortable in the left and right side of the defense counts two Elite One titles to his credit and participated in all three of Cameroon’s games during the 2018 African Nations Championship.
The former Under-23 international for Cameroon played 86 games in local and international competitions during his three-year stay at Cotonsport of Garoua.
Should PWD succeed in securing his service, he will make a key part of coach Martin Nkabyo’s squad next season.
