Bienvenu Eva Nga scored for the second game in a spin on Tuesday as his South African Premier Soccer League side Chippa United led but was defeated away at the Mbombela Stadium, to fellow relegation threatened TS Galaxy in Match-Day 13 of the championship.
The Cameroonian forward on the books of the visitors came into the game quite confident, for scoring on Saturday, against Golden Arrows and didn’t disappoint.
Having lost in their last outings, both sides needed a result in this one.
It took just five minutes for Eva to find the back of the net again. This time around it was a tap in after a close range effort from Mokgakolodi Ngele was pushed back to Eva by goalkeeper Marlon Heugh.
Sinethemba Mngomezulu leveled for the Rockets in the 17th minute after a blunder from United’s shot stopper Ayanda Mtshali made a mess of a low cross.
Galaxy had penalty in the 83rd minute after Wayde Lakay was brought down Azola Matrose. Substitute Menzi Ndwandwe converted to put the host ahead.
Wayde sealed the win in added time with a wonderful goal to make it 3-1 and earn all three points for the host.
Galaxy is ranked 12th with 12 points and will trek to Orlando to confront pirates in their next fixture while 14th-placed Chippa United welcome Amazulu of coach Benni McCarthy at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Saturday.
Eva Nga has scored three goals in as many games this season.
