Reigning French Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint-Germain have gone on the offensive to secure the services of highly rated Senegalese international defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.
According to reports from journalist, Abdellah Boulma, a meeting has been scheduled between PSG’s Sporting Director, Leonardo and Fali Ramadani, the player’s representative.
Leonardo is bent on bringing the former Metz defender to PSG this summer with Thiago Silva’s contract expiring in June.
Koulibaly is seen as a natural replacement for the Brazilian who has been the club’s leader not only on the defensive compartment.
Napoli value their rock solid defender at close to €100 million. Paris Saint-Germain might have to spend that much to bring the Senegalese to Paris.
The 28-year-old defender has featured in 15 Italian Serie A games, and six UEFA Champions League games this season for Napoli. His contract with Napoli runs until June 2023.
