It is almost certain that Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly will leave Naples this summer but his next destination is unknown.

PSG, Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with a move for the player.

Recent reports from L’équipe this Thursday say the Parisien have begin talks to sign the €100 million rated defender from SSC Napoli.

Sources say the French giants see the 28-year-old Kalidou as an instant replacement for their 35-year-old captain Thiago Silva.

Thiago is also in talks to extend his stay at the Parc de Prince but PSG’s Sporting Director has been task to find his replacement with Kalidou being the priority.

The former PSG and AC Milan midfielder definitely knows the Italian market and the powers at Napoli having masterminded the switch moves of Edison Cavani and Ezekiel Lavezzi from Napoli to PSG.

Napoli are adopting the €100 million or no business approach for their defender and why not when Real Madrid and New Castle United are also in the mix for one of the strongest defender in the world.

The former FC Metz defender has made 173 league appearances for Napoli from which he has scored 10 goals since joining them in 2014 from Genk.

He has been capped for the Teranga Lions of Senegal on 42 caps occasions and still runs behind his first international goal.

He was a part of Aliou Cisse team that finished runners-up in the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
