Philanthropist, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Herny Hotel Limited, patron of Kwara State Beach Soccer, and board member of Nigeria Beach Soccer Association, Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson has praised his Chairman and the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for giving beach soccer a new lease of life in the country.
“The Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) is a good initiative and a virile platform for the development of beach soccer in Nigeria. I thank the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) under the leadership of Amaju Pinnick as well as Sulaimon Yahya Kwande for giving beach soccer a new lease of life with the league. This will ensure that talents are discovered for the national team and the team will also be able to compete with the best in Africa and Prince Oladimeji Thompson praises Sulaimon Kwande, NFF on Beach Soccer League the world.” He told www.kick442.com.
The Kwara State Beach Soccer patron also expects good performance from the state team (Kwara BSC) in the second round of the NBSL before the third round comes to the state.
2021 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) which was the inaugural edition will move to Kebbi for the second round after a successful first round in Lagos.
The National Beach Soccer team (Super Sand Eagles) will not play at the next African Beach Soccer Cup of Nations, but the NBSL is expected to reshape the face of beach soccer across the country.
Edo HCF, Kebbi BSC, Kwara BSC, Igbogbo Kingdom BSC, Badagry BSC, Kaduna BSC, Smart City BSC, and Anambra BSC will compete for the league title.
The top four teams, two each from Group A and B at the end of the second and third round of the NBSL in Kebbi and Ilorin will qualify for the Super Four which is slated to hold in Kaduna where the Champions of the league will emerge.
