The Unisport of Bafang versus UMS of Loum Clash this weekend in Melong will be an interesting one especially for thee CEO of UMS of Loum,Pierre Kwemo who doubles ass the Mayor of Bafang the hometown of Unisport.
Clashes between this two sides have always been very close and hotly contested like derby games and to an extend,it is a derby because of the Pierre Kwemo factor.
History
Unisport of Bafang may have been silent in the league scene in the last 20 years,but nobody can take away the title the club won in 1996 making them a previous champion,just like their Sunday’s opponents UMS of Loum. UMS was only created in 2011 but the 8 years old club now represent a force in Cameroon Football.They won the League title in 2016 just two years after they got to the top flight championship and have since then push for more honours.
Last term UMS of Loum ended the season as runners-up while Unisport of Bafang needed a FIFA decision against Bamboutos to drag them back into the first division championship after they ended the season in 16th position.
The fixture will be observed for the first time at the municipal Stadium in Melong.
