As the exciting and history making moment in the resuscitation of Sierra Leone football was witnessed on Sunday, 27th January between fierce rivals Mighty Blackpool and East End Lions at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, a match which clearly shows the ingredients of Sierra Leone’s local football stars and the exuberant passion by its followers, Friday, 1st February, continues the excitement both in the capital Freetown and its provincial cities as matches between Freetown City Fc versus Ports Authority, Bo Rangers versus Fc Kallon and Kambio Eagles versus Diamond Stars starts a weekend full with pulsating football actions across the country.

Three times Sierra Leone Premier League winners, Ports Authority, will hope to use experience in getting all three points against hosts Freetown City Fc at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, Brookfields at 6:00 Pm. The Water fronts boys, having earlier on Thursday unveiled their players, coaching staff and jerseys backed up with a very strong management, will hope for nothing less than a win against the City boys who had a very good preseason and the complete backing of the Mayor of Freetown, Her Worship, Yvonne Aki-Sawyer and habitants of Freetown City.

Bought and formed in 2002 by legendary Sierra Leone football star, Mohamed Kallon, Fc Kallon, the 2006 SLPL winners will be forced to produce their very best against the Kakua Rangers of Bo if they are to get all three points at the Bo Kenema highway Stadium.

Having bolster financially by all facets of society, Rangers look set to give the young boys of Kallon a very big run for their money.

The match ticked as the highlight for the evening is the Eastern derby between Kambio Eagles of Kenema and Diamond Stars of Diamond rich Kono.

The 2014 FA Cup winners, the Eagles, welcome the Stars of Kono who are the last side to win the Sierra Leone Premier League in two successive seasons 2011/12 and 2012/13 respectively to the Kenema town Field with great hopes of entertaining their fans and as well get all three points against their Eastern rivals.

Diamond Stars of Kono, having got the resources and supports from stakes in society would be expected to do the utmost.

Sierra Leone promising stars are all set to feature for the first time in the biggest stage of Sierra Leone’s football.
