Premier League sides West Ham United and Liecester City are weighing the option to sign 2021 African Cup of Nations top scorer Vincent Aboubakar.
According to reports from Dailypost.ng both clubs are keen on strengthening their forward line and see the AFCON Golden Boot winner as the best option.
Aboubakar,30, scored eight goals in seven games during the just-ended tournament thus reigniting interest from West Ham United who had previously been linked to Aboubakar in 2019.
The former FC Lorient forward could leave the Al Nassr this summer should a willing buyer pay the right amount to tempt the Saudi giant.
The agile forward joined Porto at the cost of €3 Million in 2014 still technically untidy at 22 but in six years as a player of the club with a loan spell at Besiktas has tidied the striker and this days he is a ready-made scorer.
Spanish outlet Marca previously revealed Aboubakar has always been keen on having English Premier League experience.
Though the former Cotonsport of Garoua forward has struggles in his use of the English Language, his energetic runs and movement make many believe he is Premier League material.
It has been a good 2021-2022 season for the striker as he has made scored three goals in five matches for his club.
The Cameroon international with 34 goals in 87 appearance could follow the steps of Marc Viviane Foe as one of few Cameroonians to play for the Hammers or Foxes.
