Some top ranking sports promoters in Limbe were spotted on site during Wednesday’s first day One testing of persons for Diabetes, hypertension and obesity at the Limbe Community Field.
The exercise which makes up an important part of the maiden edition of Walk For Life attracted the attention of celebrated sports and football promoter Tchio Thomas of the Est. Tchitos.
Spotted wearing his usual smile Mr Tchio, one of the top ranking officials of Southwest regional league outfit LIFCA, once an executive of Victoria United FC and Njalla Sports Academy arrived the community field just around midday.
He was attended to by the team of Doctors and nurses put in place by the add goal Njalla Quan Sports Academy’s Walk For Life team in a snappy exercise that lasted minutes.
The veteran sports administrator is one of a handful of Sports promoters who came around on day one.
Barrister Aloysius Awah of the Seunang Awah Law Firm and a keen supporter of local football also came for exercise.
Over 200 persons were tested in the Limbe 1 municipality on Wednesday.
The caravan of Doctors and nurses plus the rest of the health campaign team which includes medical personnel of the Iya Foundation will be in Sokolo this Thursday for a continuation of the three days testing exercise.
The event will climax on Saturday with a Sports walk refreshed by Eau Vitale and XXL of the SABC Group.
