Cameroon international defender Ambroise Oyongo Bitolo of Montpellier is unavailable for this evening’s pre-season friendly pitting French Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier against second tier side Rodez.
The Club has announced the player’s absence indicating the 2017 AFCON winner is out of their squad for the game due to a muscle problem.
Oyongo was on the news this week with French media claiming that the versatile full-back had contracted the Coronavirus.
Oyongo quickly dismissed the reports and stated categorically that he was fine and training with the rest of his colleagues.
Unfortunately the former winner of the Cameroon Elite One championship with Cotonsport of Garoua will be missed by his colleagues.
Oyongo joined Montpellier in January 2018 from Impact Montreal. He has since been a regular at the Club under different managers.
