Intermediate Lion’s Yamkam Basile and Uganda’s Ben Ocen will feature in subsequent games for the Pre-CHAN despite their red cards.
According to confirmed sources, the players will not follow the normal rule of missing a match after conceding a red card. This is backed by the fact that both sides are merely using the Pre-CHAN Mini Tournament to fine-tune tactics, ahead of the CHAN.
Ben Ocen of Uganda earned the first red card of the Pre-CHAN tournament against Cameroon during the opener barely 11 minutes into the game.
Yamkam Basile on his part marked a red card during the second segment of the game and was sent out.
They have both been pardonned and will feature subsequently.
Zambia will on Monday January 4, 2021 take on Uganda while Cameroon will face Niger same day later in the evening.
