Zambia has been pitted against Uganda for the second day of play commemorating the Pre-CHAN Mini Tournament.
Monday January 4, 2021, at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Annex1 stadium 4:00pm will once more see another face of the competition
The Chipolopolo of Zambia who recorded a 3#3 against Niger Saturday January 2, 2021, will clash against the Cranes of Uganda seeking ways to perfect the team ahead of the CHAN.
Uganda will be coming in to increase goal scoring tactics and better play style.
Zambia currently has three goals in the tournament. Two from Collins Sikombe and one from Moses Phiri recorded against Niger.
Cranes of Uganda are struggling with just one goal scored by Kagimu Shafick against the intermediate lions of Cameroon Friday January 1, 2021.
Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic of Zambia and coach Jonathan McKinstry are both meeting for the first time in the Pre-CHAN Tournament. The tournament will run till January 7, were all four teams must have played one another
Both coaches aim at utilizing the games of the Pre-CHAN to their advantage in the CHAN
The Pre-CHAN tournament involves Cameroon as host, Niger, Zambia and Uganda.
Zambia has been drawn in pool D for the CHAN against Guinea, Namibia and Tanzania while Uganda is in group C alongside Morocco, Rwanda and Togo. From January 16 to February 7, 2021.
