The long awaited and fourth team for the Pre-CHAN is in Cameroon.
Niger touched down Cameroon’s Nsimalen airport Friday 1 January 2020. They now complete the fourth country for the Pre-CHAN January 1-7, 2020. They are also expected to eventually participate in the CHAN 2020 tournament in Cameroon.
The boys of coach Harouna Doula Gabde will face Zambia on January 2, 2021 for the Pre-CHAN. The tournament involves host Cameroon, Uganda and Zambia. And will run from January 1-7, 2021
Niger will face Libya, DR Congo and Congo in their group stage of pool B.
Niger have been involved in a series of friendlies against Mali and Morocco, separating in a one all draw against the former and a 0#2 defeat to the latter.
The Mena defeated Cote Divoire 2#1 on aggregate to grab a ticket to the CHAN.
Coach Harouna Doula recently named his 28-man squad to take part in the Pre-CHAN and CHAN.
