Goalless the game between Union of Douala and TKC of Yaoundé ended at the Douala reunification stadium as both sides were unable to convert their chances and grab all 3 points.

Union of Douala with just 9 points grabbed from home games added just one to that tally so far as their sustained pressure throughout the game yielded no fruits and prevented them from doing the double over their opponents this season.

A game of very few chances created and non converted keeps Unions hopes of moving up to safety alive while for the Yaoundé outfit, they will have to do better than a point in their next outing as they find themselves in troubled waters at the tail end of the table but better off than Racing of Bafoussam who are rock bottom but with just 8 goals scored all season and a whooping 23 conceded the job is a tough one for the legendary club.

Match highlights
union registered the first attempt at opening scores early on but the shot from Eloundou Fernand was just off target.

Mvondo Ivan a couple of minutes later had to force the TKC keeper to go down low and keep his short from sending him to the back of his net so early on in the game following sustained pressure from Union of Douala.

TKC registered their first attempt on goal with a 20 yard shot from Emmanuel Ebassa but the nassara goal keeper was straight on point to keep things level 20 minutes in.

Union pilled on the pressure on their opponents but lack of clinical finishing in front of goal let them down in the opening half hour mark of the game as Fernand again this time had a Sublime opportunity to put union in front but his shot went over the cross bar.

Both teams tied on a deadlock were sent to the dressing room 0 goal a piece as half time team talk could improve the scorelines situation coming into the second half.

TKC almost got the lead in the 2nd half when a header in the box from a corner was spilled by Elimbi Samuel in but he readjusted on time to spare his blushes as both sides went heads on in the opening act of the second half for that illustrious opener.

Makani curled in a Sublime ball into the box for Ravel but the center forward was unable to connect with the ball to provide the opener union had been pressing for since the start of the game.

That missed chance spurred the visitors to push forward and substitute striker Yvan Frankline face to face with keeper samuel dragged his left footed shot just wide off target.

The best chance of the game fell to Moukeu Joel who was served by Ivan in a silver platter but he could only guide the ball wide in the 16 yard area with just 3 minutes to the end of the game.

Sinkot was introduced in the dying minutes of the match but his brilliance at the right flank for the home team was unfruitful as they suit up and prepare for the next game.
