Premier Soccer League (PSL)’s ‘Alex Ferguson’, Pitso Mosimane is in high spirit after signing the dotted lines at Mamelodi Sundowns for four years after spending eight years at the club.
Pitso reveals his love for the club’s president and the fans stating the relationship can only get better.
The 55-year-old coach speaks on the reasons why he extended his contract.
”I’m honoured and humbled to be given another opportunity to lead Mamelodi Sundowns,” said Mosimane.
“One of the main reasons for me to renew my contract with Mamelodi Sundowns is the president’s trust and faith in me – he trusted me to lead this team to where it is, and fulfill his wish to build a team to conquer Africa.
“A crucial factor in me signing was also my relationship with the supporters. You stay where you are loved, simple. They [supporters] have made songs, banners, flags and t-shirts for me. It is not easy to have that kind of love, so I am home here – I have built a legacy here.
The former South African national team coach say he is humbled and motivated to take the club to greater heights.
”It’s humbling to be part of a brand like Sundowns and contribute to its success, especially as a local coach and also having played for the team. He said.
Coach Pitso is one of the most successful coach in South Africa and the longest-serving coach at Sundowns with nine titles.
