Heavily needed by some of Europe’s elite clubs, and reported by many British media outlets to want-away from the Emirates Stadium, Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has come out to rubbish all the reports.
The Gunners captain talked about his future on a live Instagram chat with Ghanaian forward Kevin-Prince Boateng.
“The fans are saying that I have to prolong my contract? Yes I know. I have one year left on my contract. Am I trying to stay? Yes, yes,” the Gabonese international said in his Instagram exchange with Boateng.
Aubameyang looked a little disturbed by the situation. What football fans will be looking up to is whether he will have the same desires next summer.
Aubameyang has been linked with a move away from Arsenal, with PSG, Inter Milan, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid all reported to have an interest in the 30-year-old Gabon international.
Aubameyang has scored 20 goals and provided an assist in 31 games across all competitions this season for his north London employers.
