Manchester United and Guinean born France International, Paul Pogba’s mother,Yeo Moriba Pogba has been appointed the ambassador for Women’s Football by the Guinean Football Federation (Feguifoot).
She was appointed on Friday, just hours after she met with Feguifoot’s president,Mamadou Antonio Souare.
Feguifoot hopes is that Yeo Moriba and his children can help rejuvenate women’s Football in the country.
Unlike its male counterparts, the Guinean national women’s team has never reached a finals of the African Cup of Nations, let alone the World Cup or the Olympic Games.
“I am proud of what the Feguifoot and its president have done,” said Yeo Moriba in a statement on Feguifoot’s website.
Just like herself,3 of her sons have played international Football with the most popular being Paul Pogba representing France with whom he has won the world cup while twins Mathias and Florentine are former players of the Syli National.
