Potential Indomitable Lions of Cameroon midfielder Patrice Serge Soko of Spanish second tier championship outfit Racing Santander scored his second goal of the season during his side’s 2-1 win at home to Laredo in match-day 22 of the Spanish second tier championship on Sunday.
The former Under-23 Lions midfielder climaxed a near perfect first segment of the game with Racing Santander’s third goal of the gain the 39th minute adding to early strikes from Nigerian forward Cedric Omoigui in the third minute and 17-year old Patrick Cabral in the 24th minute.
The host took a three-nil lead to the break with Laredo looking battered.
With the results already in the bag, Patrick Soko was replaced a minute after the resumption.
However, the visitors pulled one back in the 70th minute but that was all they could get from the game as Racing Santander defended well till the end of the game.
At full-time, it was 3-1 in favor of Racing Santander who have two games in hand and are ranked 15th with 25 points from 15 games this season.
Racing Santander travels to Barakaldo this weekend for their match day 18 commitment in the championship.
