Potential Indomitable Lions of Cameroon center-half Patrick Etoga Atchom was the lone goal scorer for his side as they sacrificed a lead and walked away pointless in a 1-2 defeat away at Bandirmaspor this Saturday in the TFF1 championship.
Both sides played goalless in the opening 45 minutes of the game but gave the fans a lot to cheer in the second segment of the game that produced three goals.
Etoga in his 17th start of the season operated from the center-back role and gave his side the lead 62 minutes into the game thanks to an assist from A Yasar.
The host reacted 11 minutes later with a goal of their own through Selçuk Alibaz off an assist from Rayo.
Just when it looked like the game will end on a parity score, Rayo scored the second for the host in the 92nd minute.
The game ended on a 2-1 in favor of Bandirmaspor to the disappointment of Etoga and his Istanbuluspor colleagues who walked away empty-handed after all the hard work.
Etoga lasted the duration of the game.
The 27-year old defender has scored thrice and provided one assist in 21 appearances in the championship this season.
Istanbuluspor are ranked third on the log with 40 points from 21 games this term ahead of their next league fixture at home to Samsunspor next Saturday.
