Fenerbahce Women’s Football Team has recruited Patricia del Carmen George, a left-wing player who joined the Turkish club from the German side, SC Sand ahead of the new season.
The Turkish club unveiled the player on Wednesday evening.
Mustafa Kemal Danabas, Member of the Board of Directors responsible for Fenerbahce Women’s Football, was present at the signing of Patricia George held at Ülker Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.
The 25-year-old Nigerian national team player will wear Fenerbahçe’s jersey for the 2022/2023 season.
With SC Sand, Patricia George scored a goal in 16 league games at the end of the 2021/2022 season.
She previously played for another German women’s football side, Cloppenburg before moving to SC Sand.
Through birth and descent, George is eligible to play for the United States, Venezuela, or Nigeria.
She made her senior debut for the Super Falcons of Nigeria on 18 February 2021 as a second-half substitution against Russian club CSKA Moscow at that year’s edition of the Turkish Women’s Cup.
