It’s not a season Osun United Football Club fans would have hoped for as the team currently occupy the 11th position in the second tier Nigeria National League (NNL) Group B1 table with 26 points from 23 games, three points behind Giant Brillars and a point short of J Atete.
The team Central Forward, Owolabi Habeeb Tunde in a chat with www.kick442.com says the team will work hard to fashion out a good season come the 2022/2023 league season.
“It is what it is, and while I am very sorry to see the team in this situation, I believe the upcoming season will be fantastic for the team.
Well, this season was not great for the team, but I was able to contribute goals for the team, as I scored goals and registered a few assists.” He told www.kick442.com.
“Everything started one Sunday morning, I was very young and still in Junior secondary school, when an academy called Steeb Football Academy General Manager walked up to me when I was playing football and asked me if I would love to play football. He said he could help me and, as a very young lad, I was very happy and told him that I was still in secondary school and that it wouldn’t be easy for me to join the team to train every morning and he suggested that I come every weekend to train with the team. That’s how it all started.” Says the former FC Ebedei, Rehoboth F , and Abia Comets player on his career path.
Owolabi Habeeb Tunde has scored five (5) goals for Osun United FC this season as his side is ten (10) points better than bottom-placed Campos on the NNL Group B1 table.
