The minister of Youth and Sports, Honourable Isaac Kwame Asiamah has described the handlers of football in the country as capable individuals who have the capacity to turn round the game.
On Wednesday, June 3, the minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah had a press briefing on Ghana’s update on Covid-19 at the Ministry of Information Press Centre.
In his address on details of easing restrictions for sports, the minister assured the football family of the government’s preparedness to support footballing activities in the country.
He therefore said that since the football is in the hands of capable individuals, things can be turned round as soon as the ban on contact games such as football is lifted.
“Our football is in the hands of capable individuals. The FA led by Kurt E.S. Okraku has the capacity to put something together if we get the greenlight to continue with football in the country.” Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah
The footballing activities in the country have been on hold since March and are expected to be on hold till July 31.
