37-year tactical genius Herman Oumarou Sokba has been appointed deputy coach of the Under-20 national selection of Cameroon.
Kick442.com has information on good authority that the appointment of the current Fauve Azur Elite head coach as deputy to Christophe Ousmanou in the Under-20 national selection has been sealed awaiting public announcement.
The Pan-African Sports News Agency understands the trainer has already joined the rest of the Lions squad currently in Mbankomo-Cameroon preparing for the upcoming African Nations cup tournament in Mauritania.
Noted for his finest at work and his mastery of the technical aspects of the beautiful game, Sokba is expected to add value to the team that won the 2020 UNIFFAC tournament in Equatorial Guinea late last year.
Winner of the 2016, cup of Cameroon as coach of APEJES of Mfou in 2016, Sokba is respected by Cameroon football stakeholders for his work rate and results achieved in the last ten years on the domestic scene.
He replaces David Pagou who was appointed deputy coach of the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon in October last year.
Cameroon is preparing for the 12-nations AFCON tournament whose draw will be conducted in Yaoundé-Cameroon on Monday, January 25th ahead of the February 14 to 28 event across Mauritania.
