Rev. Osei Kofi has charged the FA to do anything possible to improve the attendance at the league centers before football returns in the country.
According to the former Ghanaian attacker, fixing matches at the right time will enhance massive attendance at match venues.
Reverend Osei Kofi was a joint top scorer during the 1965 AFCON that helped Ghana to win the title for the second time.
He also helped Kotoko to win the Ghana premier league in 1964, 1965, and 1967.
“I went to Accra sports stadium one day to watch one of the Hearts of Oak’s premier league games and I was very sad because the total number of people at the Osu Cemetery that Sunday was more than the fans at the stadium. So playing the league at the right time for the fans to go to the stadium is something the GFA must consider before taking a final decision on the state of the league.” Rev. Osei Kofi told Space FM.
Ghana’s football activities are currently on hold due to the outbreak of the Covid-19.
Meanwhile, the FA has decided to determine the final fate of the league by the end of June.
