Belgian Jupiler Pro League outfit KV Ostende has terminated their working relationship with Joseph Fabrice Ebogo Ondoa with immediate effect.
The Club announced the move on their official website this Tuesday.
The 24-year-old Cameroonian goalkeeper joined Ostende in the summer of 2017 from Spanish side Sevilla on recommendation of the then Sports Director Hugo with whom he won the AFCON for Cameroon.
Unfortunately Ondoa hasn’t had a run of games between the sticks for the Belgian Club.
According local media Ostende who decided to terminate their remaining two-year contract with the player following an act of public nuisance and breach of Covid-19 prevention measures at the home of the Fundesport graduate over the weekend.
“As a Club, we cannot tolerate, such irresponsible and egocentric act from a player,” Ostende’s president Gautier Ganayer is quoted on local media.
Sources say Ondoa and other team mates were partied late into the evening of last Saturday attracting the attention of the police thus provoking the decision from Ostende officials.
Ondoa represented the Club on 26 occasions in just over two seasons but the 2017 AFCON winner failed to match his heroics for country at Club level.
