Super Eagles forward, Victor James Osimhen opened his Italian Serie A goal account on Saturday in SSC Napoli’s 4-1 win over high scoring Atalanta, www.kick442.com reports.
The 21-year-old striker scored Napoli’s fourth goal at the Stadio San Paolo as he celebrates his goal by displaying a shirt with #EndPoliceBrutality written on it. This was done in solidarity with youth clamour for the end of Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS and other form of police brutality in Nigeria.
Two goals from Mexican, Hirving Lozano in the 23rd and 27th minutes respectively was followed by Napoli’s third from Matteo Politano’s strike in the 30th minute.
Sam Lammers’ 69th minute goal for Atalanta was mere consolation as Napoli secured a 4-1 win after suffering points deduction for not prosecuting their last fixture with Juventus due to cases of COVID-19.
Napoli occupied the third position on the Italian Serie A table with eight points from four games and will play AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League on October 22 in their next game.
