Super Falcons captain, Asisat Oshoala scored FC Barcelona’s 100th goal in the UEFA Women’s Champions League during their 3-0 win over English side, Manchester City in the quarter-final first-leg tie on Wednesday.
Oshoala scored the first goal of the game in the 35th minute off Mariona Caldentey assist.
Mariona Caldentey doubled FC Barcelona’s lead in the 53rd minute before Chloe Kelly missed a penalty for Manchester City in the 56th minute.
Jenifer Hermoso scored the third goal of the game for Lluis Cortes’s side in the 87th minute.
Oshoala who saw 70 minutes of action before he was replaced by Jenifer Hermoso has scored three goals in five UEFA Women’s Champions League games this season. She has also scored 19 goals in 15 league games for the Catalan side this season.
The return leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League Quarterfinal game will hold at Academy Stadium, Manchester on March 31, 2021, after FC Barcelona’s league game against Sevilla on March 27, 2021.
