Super Falcons captain, Asisat Oshoala was on target for her Spanish Primera Division Women’s side, FC Barcelona as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the second leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final tie on Wednesday.
The former FC Robo Queens striker equalised for FC Barcelona in the 59th minute off Caroline Hansen’s assist.
Janine Beckie scored the opening goal of the game for Manchester City in the 20th minute before Oshoala’s equaliser which is her fourth Champions League goal this season.
Samantha Mewis penalty wins the game for Manchester City but they could not win the battle after a 3-0 first-leg defeat.
FC Barcelona thus progressed to the semi-final of the 2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League 4-2 on aggregate.
They will host Levante in their next league game on April 4, 2021.
