Indomitable of Lions Cameroon and NK Istra goalkeeper Fabrice has kept his first clean sheet on debut for Croatian side NK Istra 1961 as they punished host Oriolik by three goals to nil in the quarter-finals of the Croatian cup.
On his first start for the Club, the La Masia Academy graduate made a number of brilliant stops on goal to keep his side in the contest.
Both sides wasted a number of chances in the first segment of the game leaving the score goalless at the break.
Upon resumption for the second segment, Ondoa’s Istra improved with a more collective performance.
15 minutes in, T Ohara break the deadlock for the visitors.
The goal gave Istra greater freedom to move the ball around per their desire but on multiple occasions their incursions were stopped by brilliant defending and good goalkeeping combined.
Just when it looked like it was going to be a narrow victory for Istra, Ohara scored the second at the 87th minute of play.
Zivatovic unfortunately beat his own keeper in additional time to make it three-nil.
The game ended on a the same score, giving Ondoa and his side a qualification ticket for the semi-finals of the Croatian cup.
It is a first successful outing for the 2017 AFCON winning goalkeeper who hopes to take his cup form to the domestic championship over the weekend as Istra travels to Slaven Koprivnica.
Ondoa is a part of the Cameroon squad retained for this month’s AFCON qualifiers games against Cape Verde in Pria and at the Japoma Stadium in Douala.
