Desire Oparanozie (right) in action for Dijon

Super Falcons forward, Ugochi Desire Oparanozie had an assist in DFCO Dijon’s 3-1 home win over Issy-les-Moulineaux in their French D1 Archema game week two on Saturday, can report.

Oparanozie and her Dijon teammate returned to winning ways after their opening day defeat to Soyaux.

Batcheba Louis scored the first goal of the game for Issy in the 21st minute before Dijon rallied back to level the scoreline with a goal from Sh’Nia Gordon who placed a masterful lob beyond Issy’s goalkeeper in the 42nd minute.

In the second half, Dijon scored two more goals to complete their come back win.
Following a recovery, Désiré Oparanozie found Rose Lavaud who scored Dijon’s second goal in the 53rd minute.
Solène Barbance scored the Dijon’s third goal in the 89th minute.

The victory gave Dijon their first win in the 2020-2021 French D1 Archema as they currently occupied the sixth position with three points from two games.
They will travel to face Desire Oparanozie’s former Club, Guingamp in their next game in two weeks’ time.

Oparanozie joined DFCO Dijon from Guingamp after the end of her contract with her former Club ahead of the kick-off the current season.
