According to reports, UEFA Champions League bond, Olympique Marseille are interested in signing Saint Etienne defender Harold Dersty Moukoudi , who will move on during the summer transfer window.
The Cameroon international made the move to the Ligue 1 side in 2018 is set to leave the club after they were relegated from the French Ligue 1 championship.
After 68 appearances for the Greens, Moukoudi who played for Middlesborough on loan in the 2020-2021 season could be on the move again.
The 24-year-old has been a bit-part player for the Saint Etienne but couldn’t help them survive relegation in the playoffs tie against Auxerre.
His current contract expires in 2024 but Marseille in preparations for next season’s CAF Champions League could land him or Chancel Mbemba who has been enlisted as an alternative.
Marseille have identified him as a summer target due to his ‘flexibility’.
They face competition from a number of clubs as it is certain he is leaving the club with his current market value being €4m per TransferMkt.
Moukoudi recently contributed to Cameroon’s third place finish at the 2021 AFCON and is considered a big part of Rigobert Song’s plans with the Indomitable Lions though he was excused from the current camp.
